Chris and Will: Muscular Dystrophy Fund

Hi, my name is Will. I am 8 years old and I love Ninja Turtles. Sometimes I pretend that I am a Ninja Turtle.. When I am wearing my Ninja Turtle shirt and cape I feel like I have turtle-powers. I wish my powers really worked, because if they did I would make my brother, Chris, walk again.
Chris is two years older than me. He has to use a wheelchair because he has Muscular Dystrophy and the muscles in his legs don’t work any more. He just got a new wheelchair and guess what? it is Ninja Turtle green!
A nice lady came to our house and said that it is time for Chris to get a “lift”. That means someone is going to put something on the ceiling of our bedroom to help get Chris out of bed and into his chair. It is getting much harder for him to get around.
Sometimes it scares me to watch Chris because the doctor said that I have Muscular Dystrophy too. My legs get tired but I can still walk. I told my Mom that maybe I don’t have the same thing he does because I don't need a wheelchair. I saw that she had a sad look on her face.
My Mom found a van with a ramp on the side. When we get it Chris will be able to drive his wheelchair right into it. Then my Mom, two sisters (Olivia and Zoe), Chris, and I can go places together. Whew, those crazy vans cost a lot of money. We are still saving our money so that we can buy it. Our Dad died a few years ago so my Mom works really hard to pay all of the bills by herself. We could use a little help. Thank you for reading about us.
