Chop's Chance

Gary “Chop” Sayre, the owner of Chop’s Old Bank since 2007, has become seriously ill, and he needs your help. Many of you have known Chop for years, and you have many cherished memories of this wonderful man and his huge heart. We’ve shared countless great times together, and celebrated many special events at Chop’s Old Bank. Now it’s time to return the favor to Chop and be a part of Chop’s Chance.

Chop’s Story

Chop is suffering from end stage liver failure, and he needs a liver transplant, and your help. He is seeking treatment options in both Des Moines and Omaha. Chop is hoping to be put on the transplant list in Nebraska and Iowa, but this requires a 6-month waiting period. Chop and his wife of over 31 years, Sherri, need your help to pay for expenses including medical bills, gas, food and lodging while Chop is hospitalized, so Sherri can be by his side during this difficult time. Sherri will also miss work while staying with Chop in Omaha, and once he is home, as she will be the primary caregiver.
