Anyone who's talked to us in the last year knows we have plans for our life together, BIG plans! Among other things, we are both enrolled full time in college classes with the goal of Physician Assistant School. Claire somewhere in Indiana, Chiloh through the military in Texas. Each in our own way, we have forseen how going this route will help us to build the life we've always wanted. These next moves will be here before we know it and will briefly separate two people who met "the One" a little later than we had hoped.
We married after 7 months together, because why wait? And we are renewing our vows this coming March with a ceremony and celebration for and with our families and friends. We are starting this fund in hopes of lightening the financial load of a much needed and long awaited vacation together. We have chosen Mackinac Island to celebrate our union because it suggests a time long ago, when things all seemed a little simpler and time moved a little slower.

We hope to find time to go on our "Honeymoon" during the late spring or early summer months of 2018 when the island isn't quite as frosty as it is in March. But really, it will be whenever our schedules allow a week or so of free time.
As many of our friends and family know, neither of us are working currently, in order to most quickly and efficiently get through school. This was a difficult choice we spent months making. And since we aren't getting any younger and we're absolutely determined to build the lives we've always wanted, in the end, there was no question what needed to be done. We are making ends meet but there is obviously a lack of the fun and frivolous in our lives right now.
The ability to get away from the fast pace of life, just the two of us, and for a short time, to slow down and enjoy eachother, seems like a fantasy. Definitely an achieveable fantasy down the road, but that's a very long way down our road at this point.
Seriously though, if you are able and willing, we would be immensely grateful for any help in making this honeymoon thing happen.
