Chigurh Takes A Fall

Soooo last week Chigurh and I continued our tour of NYC apts by visiting a perfect artist's loft in Red Hook. It was going to be another great transitional place that had the bonus of a HUGE roof deck to chill on during the summer months.

Chigurh took a flying leap off the roof deck in excitement, and seriously broke her right front leg. She required surgery and a 5 day hospital stay. She just came home, but will be in her cast for at least three more weeks.


Needless to say this has been a very rough year. I've been out of work since March, we've navigated unemployment and sublet culture, and I've more or less gotten rid of all of my personal belongings. We're at ground zero, and I've just been hit with a huge vet bill.


While I know that my dog is my financial responsibility and we've had a great 5 years of maintaining this agreement, I am going to have a very difficult time repaying the huge credit line I had to take out to pay for her surgery and care. I am asking you for help if you have any to spare. I hate asking for help, but I am seriously looking at the numbers on the page, wondering how we're going to do everything: get a job, get an apartment, not fall into crippling debt. We're still wandering and job searching, but in the meantime the most important things matter, like keeping my dog happy, keeping her alive.
