An important part of Cheryl’s life’s work involved writing on topics that sparked her passion. One of her pieces was about Kwanzaa and she and her husband John L were actively working to have her writing published into a book. As a tribute to her legacy, Bro. Colbert would like to see a scholarship founded in Cheryl’s name. Proceeds from the sale of her book would fund this scholarship effort.
As a token of our love for the Colbert family, we would like to make a monetary donation of $5,000 to the book publishing and scholarship foundation. We would like to make a public presentation to the Colbert family at Saturday’s service on behalf of Alpha Phi Alpha and request your prompt contributions.
