HELP CHERYL AND HER ORPHANED
GRANDCHILDREN
Jaime Larner lost her seven-year battle with Sclerosing Cholangitis (a devastating auto-immune disease of the liver) on September 30, 2017. Although Jaime fought this disease with courage and determination, she never reached a stable enough condition to survive a liver transplant.
Jaime, a single parent, has left her seven-year-old twin girls, Alaura, and Ailynn, in the trust and care of her mother, Cheryl. She will be raising her grandchildren in a small town near Saskatoon.
Cheryl, a single mom and grandmother, is 61 years old, and is approaching retirement years. She has been working part time which has enabled her to help Jaime raise her little girls over the past several years during Jaime’s illness.
Now Cheryl will be shouldering the responsibility of raising her two little granddaughters on her own. When she retires, the income available will then put her and the twins in an even more financially precarious position.
Our goal is to raise money to build a fund to help Cheryl provide Alaura and Ailynn with the opportunities that children should have access to, such as extra curricular activities, any medical and emotional therapies that aren’t covered, and educational opportunities.
Our goal is to raise $50,000.00. Although this will not help the deep loss and sadness that Cheryl, Alaura, and Ailynn are feeling, it will ease some of the anxiety and financial worry with which Cheryl is burdened.
Thank you, in advance, for all your love and support of Cheryl and her two young grandchildren. These two little girls have already missed out on so much due to their mother’s lengthy illness. Together we can help give them the life every child deserves.
