Post Hospice & Funeral Arrangements

My brother, Michael will be 51 years old this month. He suffered a traumatic brain injury in his pre-teens. From that point on, he has overcome so many obstacles. He developed  seizure disorder after the brain injury. he developed some other addictions that added to his medical situation. I was notified approximately 3 weeks ago that Michael has been assigned to the "Hospice Service". He has had so many seizures in his life that his brain is literally shutting down. He rarely speaks now. He has early on-set Dimentia and is not able to walk.  He refuses to eat on his own and will eat if someone feeds him. My sister and I have discussed options for Micheal but they are minimal at best. He has no insurance and no reserve cash to establish a proper service plan for him. With that being said, we have chosen to turn to our friends and family for support. This was not an easy decision to make. My heart goes out to anyone facing a similar situation. Thank you in advance for your consideration. We are being told that 6 months to a year is realistic however, they have also told us that planning should be in place for any services.
