As some of you already know , Chase "Jasper", is fighting Juvenile Batten Disease, a debilitating and ultimately fatal childhood disease.
Emerging gene replacement therapy and drug treatments hold hope that this disease can ultimately be cured, or at least the symptoms and functional deterioration stopped. Symptoms of this disease include blindness, seizures, dementia, behavior changes, agression, and cognitive and physical decline to the point of being bedridden, unable to communicate to early death.
But the cost of developing treatments for rare diseases such as Batten is high and mostly funded by private sources because major pharmaceuticals see little chance of financial return on their research investments. That is why your HELP is crucial to Chase receiving these treatments.

Chase renamed himself to Jasper the Champion Rider, Shooter when he was 4 years old. Luckily, we were given the ok to shorten it to Jasper, which is how he is known by his friends and family. Jasper is full of personality and absolutely loves everything outdoors including hunting, fishing, farming, horseback riding, etc. Batten Disease has taken a stronger hold on Jasper over the last 2 years. Along with going blind, he now suffers from seizures and learning and behavior issues. However, his spirit and drive remain strong!
