I do not want to exit with a retirement ceremony nor party; I want to exit and leave a legacy behind. So I am requesting your help in establishing a SCHOLARSHIP in order to continue to serve the community.
My wife and I have put in a lot of thought into the Charqueno-Leija Family and Friends Scholarship Fund and will match the annual allotment.
There are 4 things that identify me: My roots, my family, my upbringing, and my education. These I hold near and dear to my heart. Without knowing where I came from, I couldn't decide where I want to go; Without my family's support, I would have never achieved as much as I have t this point; Without the lessons learned in life, I wouldn't have been able to correct my mistakes and continue on this path; Without education, institutional or situational, I would have never opened the necessary doors on my continued path to success.
