UPDATE DEC 2: Charlie and I are back in Mexico for the next few weeks. We were in Colorado staying with my uncle for most of November while I was taking my exams. Charlie got to see some deer and I passed all three exams! I'll be admitted to practice as an enrolled agent hopefully by end of January 2026! Charlie and I still need your help! The last we checked Charlie's kidney levels, they were worse and the Doctors gave Charlie two more months to live. I'd like to get him back home for Christmas. I will take several videos of Charlie's first time seeing snow!

Meet Charlie!

Charlie and I met in April this year on the streets of La Punta, Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca. From the moment I met Charlie, his happy, playful spirit stole my heart. Charlie has been the most wonderful, cuddly companion I could ask for.

However, learning about Charlie's health has been a challenge. He was immediately diagnosed with Heartworm Disease, which has been cured thanks to months of treatment. Unfortunately, it didn't end there. Charlie now has confirmed Chronic Kidney Disease which is an ongoing disease that sadly, is not curable. This means that his treatment and medications will be ongoing for the rest of his life. The treatments will help to slow down the progression of the disease and ensure that Charlie has a better quality of life. So far, I have spent $2,100 USD on just his medical care, which is over double of what was anticipated.

I'm starting this GoFundMe as a way to keep fighting for Charlie’s health and happiness. Your support will go directly to Charlie's ongoing treatment for Kidney Disease. It’s been overwhelming trying to cover these expenses. I could really use your support because Charlie deserves the best life, especially after living on the streets for several years.
