My name is Elizabeth Chandler and we are fundraising for my wonderful uncle, Chad (Rev) Terry.

Chad was diagnosed with Post-Transplant Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma in April 2022.

This isn’t his first fight – Chad beat cancer in 2019 and unfortunately is battling it again. After receiving a kidney transplant 19 years ago, Chad’s transplant medications have caused these diagnoses.

 

 

Chad is undergoing several rounds of chemotherapy with more intense treatment and hospitalization to follow. Somehow, he faces these challenges head-on while still managing to keep this warm and gentle light about him. If you know Chad, you know what I’m talking about.

 

 

Chad is a kind-hearted, selfless husband to his wife Sam and father to their bright six-year-old daughter. He is easy to love and gives love just as easily, but his fight is far from simple.

 

 

On top of everything, Sam was forced to resign from her job to care for Chad during this difficult time. The added stress of piling costs is something we want to alleviate as much as possible for their family.

 

 

Chad is seeing the best BMT/CAR-T Oncology &amp; Nephrology specialists that KU has to offer, though it is 5 hours roundtrip.
