Help Chad kick Cancer's Butt!!!

Donation protected
On Monday, November 3, Chad went to the dermatologist for what he believed would be a routine Mohs micrographic surgery.  Once his doctor began the procedure, he discovered that Chad's Basal Cell Carcinoma was much more advanced than he had been lead to believe from the results of the biopsy, and would require a much more extensive operation.  Realizing that he would not be able to perform the surgery in the office, Chad’s dermatologist referred him to a plastic surgeon that would finish what he had started.  (While Basal cell tumors are generally non life-threatening, the size and severity of Chad's have his doctors concerned that they may be worse than your typical type.) Tuesday morning, Chad went to his appointment with the plastic surgeon where he learned exactly what will be done to get rid of the cancer.  The procedure itself will require that Chad go under general anesthesia.  During this time, the surgeon will remove more of the cancerous area, and—once the pathology report confirms it is cancer-free—place a skin graft over his wound. As of right now, we are waiting for the plastic surgeon to call with the date and time of Chad’s operation.

As most of you know, Chad is a musician.  What several of you may not know is that many musicians (who are often considered to be “self-employed”) don’t carry medical insurance on themselves; Chad is no exception.  His medical bills alone are going to be ridiculous, not to mention the bills he already has that he is going to fall behind on from being out of work.  I have set up this account to help Chad during this time, and hopefully take some of the stress out of the situation.  If you can only afford to donate a dollar, that’s okay!  Please don’t feel that it is too small.  Every little amount will help.

If you know Chad, you know what an amazing person he is.  (And if you don’t know Chad, you’ll just have to take my word for it.)  You can take after him and be amazing too!  Just click that little “donate” button   :)
