Dear Family and Friends,
I hope that this letter finds each of you well. I would first like to say “Thank You!” I truly appreciate all of the love and support shown to me, as I left for to college, whether through good wishes, prayers, gifts of support, encouraging conversations, or just being a part of my life. I am grateful for it all.
I am currently halfway through my sophomore year at Goucher College, and my current GPA is 3.68.
My last semester was very trying, but thank God, I made it through. I am majoring in Business Arts Management, and minoring in Dance.
As part of my graduation requirement, I am required to study abroad in my undergraduate years. I recently received notice that I am one of 12 students to be accepted into a summer study abroad program. This program is scheduled for May – June of 2018. For a period of three weeks, I will be studying in the beautiful country of Holland, specifically, Amsterdam. The focus of the program is “Business Arts Administration from an International Perspective.” This program is perfect for my major and only offered once every other year. I am very excited about going, however, please keep me in your prayers, because I have never flown before. I do, however, look forward to experiencing a new adventure.
The cost of the program itself is $4,350.00, which covers all of my living expenses and my academic expenses for the three week period. Additional fees are the roundtrip airfare, food, and local travel costs which roughly totals $1,000-$1,500. The estimated cost of this program in total is about $5,650.00. Thankfully, I was able to qualify for a scholarship, which has helped tremendously, however, I still have to raise $2,500, by the end of February.
As of now, I only have a short period of time to raise as much funding as I can. If you can donate any amount towards my expenses, it will help to bring me one step closer to my goal, and I would deeply appreciate it. As a reminder, any donation that you make is tax deductible.
