#CesarSanchez

Our little Cesar fought hard for one year and 11 months, and even though he is no longer with us, he won the battle of life, gaining an eternal crown.

His family began their fight against adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD) back in 2016 when Cesar’s youngest brother, Alan, started showing symptoms. Cesar was also diagnosed with ALD, but Alan’s progressed quickly and left us March 23, 2017 at the tender age of 10.

Cesar began his treatment November 29, 2016, and from then on continued to fight until October 26, 2018 at the age of 14.

He was always positive and asking questions from his dosctors, wanting to know everything about his treatments. He had such a strong will to live that even though he was tired, he continued to push through till his very last breath.

He was loved by many, so many that the day he passed away his hospital room was filled with not only family members, but all of his doctors, nurses, specialists, and social workers, as well as the hallway from one end to another with tearful eyes. Even though our hearts are aching, our souls rejoice in knowing he’s finally at a peaceful rest, with no more pain or fear.

Our little warrior has won.
