On August 5, 2017, the long journey that we were on with Ovarian Cancer our mother battled came to an end. It was one of faith, fight and love. Never would we have been prepared for this level of loss that our heart is enduring. We all know the day is coming at some point or another, but to experience it is a different realization we wish no one would have to know.

As we prepare to celebrate the life she lived with all of our friends, family and loved ones, we welcome you to also play a part in that celebration. As anyone knows, the cost of medical bills, doctor’s visits and meeting ends while battling this disease takes its toll on all…especially financially. Our mother did an amazing job trusting and watching God meet her needs time and time again. While she was able to prepare with a burial policy at the support of her family, Lee & Amanda Washington, the timeframe in which she passed only allowed for a portion to be covered.

Truthfully, it’s hard for us as her son’s to not be able to take care of every detail ourselves and only allow everyone else to mourn and celebrate her life. We do understand that it’s also powerful and an immense blessing to be able to open this up and ask for help from those that loved her well.
