Catia Santos Oliveira Memorial Education Fund

Our dear, dear friend and colleague Catia Santos Oliveira has passed away far too young after a brave fight with cancer. She leaves her loving husband Filipe and two little ones, Alyssa, 5, and Adelyn, 3.
We had the privilege and joy of working with Catia for twelve years at the Ministry of the Attorney General. We have never known anyone who had more love and goodness in her heart. With every one of us and with everything she did, Catia was always giving, patient, capable and dedicated and the kindest person.
She was a proud mom, a loving wife, and a treasured daughter, daughter-in-law, sister, sister-in-law and aunt. She was a beloved friend. We will all miss her terribly and will treasure the time we had her in our lives.
We are fundraising in memory of Catia to help contribute to Alyssa and Adelyn’s education, as she would have wanted for her bright, beautiful daughters. We, along with Catia and Fil's family, friends and faith community, would be incredibly grateful for any donation you could make.

Thank you so much to everyone who has made a contribution. You have put us over our original fundraising goal of $30,000! This is a great start for the girls’ education fund (and we understand that Filipe will be using RESPs for the girls to secure the available government grants for them). But, as we all know, education is getting more and more expensive every year so we are upping the goal to $40,000. If you have not yet contributed please consider a donation. Your support for Catia’s family will never be forgotten.
