Catherine Ann Fundraiser

Donation protected
On March 8th, 2010, at the age of 17, my sister Catherine collapsed on the lacrosse field. Catherine had gone into idiopathic sudden cardiac arrest and ultimately suffered a hypoxic brain injury. Cat was in various hospitals for more than a year with my mom, my sister and me. We moved out of our home to be by her side 24/7, making sure she not only received the best care possible, but also so she knew that she was NEVER alone. We frantically transformed our home into an amazing rehabilitation center, which we call "Cat "“ abilitation". All of the equipment was customized specifically for Cat to get her back on her feet so she can literally fight for her life back. Each week she is doing something she couldn't do the week before. She pushes herself each and every day to regain the ability to talk and walk, things many of us simply take for granted. Cat has multiple therapists that work very closely with her, all of whom are struck by Cat's determination and continued progress. Unfortunately, Cat will be "aging out" of her coverage and will subsequently be losing all physical, occupational, speech therapy, etc. To help continue Cat's therapy, we are having a fundraiser.
On Sunday January 5th, 2014 from 11:00AM- 1:00PM we will be hosting fundraiser at Bowlmore Lanes (895 Walt Whitman Rd., Melville, NY 11747). Tickets are $25 for two hours of bowling, shoe rental, pizza, soda, cupcakes, and amazing raffles. All the money raised will be going to help support my sister's journey to recovery. Please contact me, Meghan O'Malley, at [email redacted] , or my other sister, Shannon, at [email redacted] , to donate a basket, gift card, or make a donation to us at 61 Prospect Street, Babylon NY 11702. Please write the checks out to "Catherine O'Malley Trust".
If your business is interested in sponsoring the event and reaching the large audience that will be attending, please contact Shannon or me. The bowling alley is collecting $14 per ticket, so we are looking for sponsors to offset this cost. Additionally, we're also ordering lime green bracelets and SSCA t-shirts to sell. The bracelets cost about $1 each (we ordered 800) and the t-shirts cost about $10 each (we're ordering 200). Companies can sponsor any number of each. Any amount helps!! Names of sponsors will be advertised on the TV screens of each lane as well as on large poster boards at the end of each lane. This will be a great way to get your company name out there, especially since we are expecting a large turnout for an amazing cause. If you're interested please send a check to 61 Prospect Street, Babylon NY 11702 written out to "Catherine Ann Trust". Also include your company name or what you would like advertise. Thanks so much!
Please e-mail this to friends, family, companies, etc. Thanks you and please follow Cat's Facebook group at "Catherine Ann <3".
SSCA. All our love ♥.
