Cassidy's Volunteering in Africa

Hello!

My name is Cassidy and I am currently pursuing my teaching credential at Cal Poly. After this quarter I will be certified to teach anywhere in California. Before I start my teaching career I wanted to have an experience where I was able to share my passion for education, love of children, and learn more about a new culture. One Heart Source has a 4 week EDUCATE opportunity that places volunteers in Cape Town, South Africa where they are able to mentor a small group of children and educate classrooms on various subject areas. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to help me grow a better appreciation for other cultures, have an amazing experience in another country, and spread equal education to those in need.

I am so thankful that I was accepted into this program and for the opportunity to travel to Africa and educate. My next step is fundraise the funds to support me on such an amazing trip.
