Carter James Bertozzi Shimon – Soon to be Adding Pedrotti!

Many of you have been following the status of Carter James Bertozzi Shimon since the untimely passing of both his parents earlier this year; unfortunately the latest is yet another hurdle that only proves the undeniable strength and boundless love that The Pedrotti Family has for their young Nephew.

Per the regulations here: http://www.cdss.ca.gov/Adoptions The Pedrotti Family has been notified that the fee described as: “The fee for the cost of the investigation of an Independent adoption petition is $4,500.” -will NOT be waived or reduced.

How the circumstances do not meet a granted waiver is incomprehensible, nonetheless here they are, faced with an added challenge that only compounds the unquestionable loss. 

Carter will be turning three in November and while we know he has everlasting love, guidance, and the basics covered, I would imagine I am not alone as I shake my head in pure heartbreak over such a “fee”.  This adoption ensures his family will easily be able to make decisions on his behalf until he is an adult, as his Parents wished.

Let’s do what we can to ease the financial aspect, assisting this family as they settle into their new routine that holds a void no young child should ever experience.
