Carter Hodgson Fund

This past weekend my niece Lynsay took her 3 year old son Carter to the doctor as he has been sick and wanted to make sure that he did not have pneumonia. The doctor sent him for an x-ray and that x-ray has changed their lives forever. They noticed a spot by Carter's lung and said it was not pneumonia. An appointment was set up for first thing the following morning with a pediatrician, and Carter was sent for a CAT Scan. They found what they thought to be an 8cm mass in his chest. Conversations with the Children's Hospital in Vancouver confirmed their concerns, and it was decided that Carter would go there for further tests and plans for what the next move would be.
Speaking with the doctors at the Children's Hospital today it was found that the mass was much larger than the original 8cm, and they believe that it likely started in his stomach and has grown into his chest. They believe that the pneumonia Carter was diagnosed with last year, in fact wasn't pneumonia, but was this tumor. This is all still in the early stages of diagnosis and treatments, but the doctors believe that it is neuroblastoma, an aggressive cancerous tumor, and surgery and chemo will likely be the course of action. Carter will be having tests and an MRI done on Wednesday to confirm the type of cancer/tumor, and the size of the tumor. 
My niece Lynsay is a single mom, although Carter's dad Bill, is very involved in his life as well. They are both in Vancouver at the Children's Hospital and the costs are going to add up, with missed work, transportation, food, bills, etc., but the most important thing is that Carter won't be alone. My sister Wendy is also a huge part of Carter's life, and is also in Vancouver for her grandson. We want all their focus on Carter and not on the worries of other costs, which is why I am setting up this gofundme page on their behalf. Any small amount is greatly appreciated and no amount is too small.
