Help Carolyn Fight the Good Fight!!

Donation protected

If you've lived in Weare, NH or have entered Country Three Corners in the past 10 years you've seen her. She was the petite but bubbly manager who (somehow never seemed to go home) and maybe gave you a ride home, gave you a job, a listening ear, put up your fundraising fliers, or even gave a few bucks for those who needed it, no questions asked. Carolyn Arsenault is a Weare Native who lived and worked there until late November when she moved to Charlotte NC to be closer to her 2 grandchildren. Soon after arrival there it became clear that the bothersome pain in her neck and shoulder werent just a pulled muscle as doctors in Concord had suggested. The pain got worse and Carolyn began to get sick and drop weight. After several ER trips, the doctors finally came back with an answer. She had a blood clot in her jugular vein, a grape sized mass in her upper right lung, a golfball sized mass at her bronchial split and most unsettling a 2mm mass in her brain. Tests have confirmed it is stage 3 lung cancer. She has remained hospitalized since that ER visit on 1/13. Carolyn, having just moved to the state several weeks prior has no medical insurance. While her daughter (me) has been feverishly putting paperwork into place to get the care she needs, not all costs will be covered and medication, although it has a discount, will still be very expensive. Carolyn is due to undergo both radiation (started last week) and chemo (starting next week) for anywhere between 6 and 26 weeks. She is slated to be released to Jackie's home on Monday and while she will have full care provided by her daughter, there are things that Jackie  cannot 100% provide. Carolyn will need to be on a very strict and healthy diet, must have her medications and is on Oxygen 24/7 (which alone costs $277 a month).

Anyone willing to donate and help out a woman who helped so many would literally have a hand in saving her life. Carolyn has the positive attitude needed to get through this difficult time in her life and although she has always been reluctant to ask for help, she needs it.

If you cannot donate please still share this page and feel free to write her an uplifting message on her facebook.

Be positive, Be strong, fight the good fight!

Thanks everyone.

(I love you mom!!)
