Manna Project International Internship

Donation protected
Hola!

As many of you know, I was blessed with the opportunity not once, but twice, to spend time in Nicaragua through weeklong mission trips during the summers of 2011 and 2013. These have started a fire in my heart that's yet to go out, and in fact it keeps growing stronger.

I knew after my first trip that my passion for Nicaragua was not a mere coincidence. In my own "plan", I saw myself volunteering in Nicaragua later on down the road. However, thanks to prayer and support, I went out on a limb and decided to apply for an internship in Nicaragua through Manna Project International, a non-profit organization that works to establish sustainability and holistic growth among the communities in Nicaragua, Ecuador, and Guatemala. During my last trip in August 2013, I was able to meet one of the program directors who shared with me her passion for the people in Nicaragua. Thus began my research and interest on this amazing organization. Their mission is "To foster communities of young adults and encourage them to use their passions and education in service to communities in need." I saw this as an opportunity to foster my passion for the communities in Nicaragua and do the work I feel that I am purposefully made to do.

Through LOTS of prayer (and I mean, LOTS!), I decided that this was the time to do this. This was the time to go outside of my comfort zone, to let God lead the way.

He answered, and boy did He make it loud and clear. I feel totally at peace that this internship is the next step in my involvement with Nicaragua and the people there. I feel fully confident that I am both ready and able to take this on wholeheartedly and immerse myself into an experience I never thought I would be capable of doing.

I will be leaving May 10th for Nicaragua and returning June 7th.
I am asking for help and support for my four week internship in Nicaragua. Money raised will go directly to my flight, lodging, food, and other necessities in Nicaragua. Since Manna Project is a non-profit, I will be paying for all costs of my internship. However, I know and trust that God will make this happen without a doubt. If you are unable to donate financially, I ask for prayer and support as I take on this journey that I know will change my life and show me what I am capable of doing for the communities in Nicaragua.

Manna Project's focus in Nicaragua is through programs that work with Health & Wellness, education, and the livelihood of local businesses and the community. I will be working alongside program directors to gain experience in the non-profit field, work to improve and promote sustainability in the local communities, and serve the people. I will most likely be helping with tasks such as children's english, girls health classes, child sponsorship, and the like.

Please take a moment to check out their webpage and learn all about what they are doing down there. I am continually impressed by all their work and passion towards the people in this country I've been lucky enough to call home for two weeks - and now for four. Their website is Mannaproject.org
