Carole's Cure (A Natural Journey)

My mother, Carole Osgood (Lund, Crest), has recently been diagnosed with lung cancer. If you know my mom, you know that she does not care for western medicine. She's always been the type to go for the natural cure... so you can imagine that this diagnosis has been tough for her. Not only is she dealing with the physical condition but she's feeling pressure to use western medicine to cure the condition. The doctors gave her steroids to reduce swelling but it gave her horrendous side effects. The side effects were so severe that she considered not doing chemo. It was an extremely hard decision but she has now decided to go down both roads at once. She will be starting chemo shortly.


Since starting this journey she has had to deal with tons of unforeseen expenses. On top of insurance expenses, food costs (the steroids had really increased her appetite) she also has to pay for someone to take care of my grandpa, which is something she normally does.


I created this campaign to help raise funds so she can beat this thing. I want her to be able to use any and all possible methods in order to make that happen. I also don't want to see her go into a mountain of debt in the process. Especially when there are so many people out there that she's helped that would love to be able to help her in return.


My mom is amazing. She's helped countless people in her life, from taking care of hundreds of children at her daycare, to lending a hand to pretty much anyone who needed one. I was pretty sure my home was a hostel growing up, because my mom would let so many people stay with us who needed a place to sleep. She's always opened up her home to people in need.


This is my way of helping my mom, as she has done for so many people. No one is more deserving. I hope you'll help in her journey. No donation is too small or too big! I appreciate every cent.
