Hello, my name is Carlos Angel
Like many, I am a Colombian who came to the United States 2 years ago in search of new opportunities. However, on my 6th month of being here, I was diagnosed with Cirrhosis of a special kind. One that could not be traced to a common cause. Since that very first day of being diagnosed, I have been given treatment in the Hepatology center at Newark University Hospital. Even though the attention and staff have been more than supportive and helpful, these efforts can only go so far as to cure me. That cure being a successful liver transplant. In order to carry out such a massive procedure, the Hospital directives require a sum of $30,000 that is needed to guarantee the medications following the transplant, in hopes that the liver will not be rejected by my body.
However, as time has transgressed, my overall health and wellbeing have deteriorated much more rapidly than I had hoped. However, without the needed funds for the post operation medication, I can’t obtain the liver transplant which is the only way I could possible regain my health and quite possibly return to a normal life or at least a facsimile of one. I am hoping that those of you reading my story to take it out of the kindness of your hearts to save not just a life, but a man who still has so much more to contribute to his community and his family. A family which truly depends on him. I am truly hoping you see to it to give me a fighting chance, and through any sort of help, Ill be able to see that chance.
Hola soy Carlos Angel, colombiano de origen, quien vino a las Estados Unidos hace 2 años en busca de nuevas oportunidades y a los 6 meses de estar aqui fui diagnosticado con una enfermedad llamada cirrosis de una clase de origen desconocido y desde entonces he estado en tratamiento en el Hospital Universitario de Newark, area Hepatologica en donde la atencion ha sido excelente, sin embargo se hace necesario para poder sobrevivir el implante de un nuevo higado. Para llevar a cabo dicho trasplante las directivas y el personal medico del hospital requieren que yo tenga en mi cuenta de ahorros la suma de US 30.000.00 para garantizar los medicamentos del primer año y asi evitar que el higado sea rechazado por mi organismo. Con el transcurrir del tiempo mi cuerpo se ha venido deteriorando y se hace urgente la consecucion de los recursos economicos y asi poder ingresar a la lista de espera de futuros beneficiados. Acudo a ustedes, a los que estan leyendo este mensaje, a su solidaridad y a su buen corazon que ayuden a salvar mi vida. Dios los bendiga.
