Hi My name is Tia Filby.

I’m Raising funds for Carl Redmond’s Family. Carl suffered tremendously, sadly loosing his battle to Colon Cancer in Winnipeg @ HSC Hospital with his lovely family & Annie McLeod by his side. Carl and Annie have three young girls. (19,12,6) Carl was an amazing hard worker and would do anything for his family. Carl was diagnosed with Colon Cancer in October 2020. It’s been a hard 4 years. He was going for treatments in Gimli, but they had stopped them because they were no longer working. Sadly the Cancer had spread from his Colon to his Bladder. As a result, he suffered a lot of UTI’s this summer. His kidneys had shut down and his body could no longer fight anymore. His Family had to stay in the city and say goodbye to him, his sister’s also travelled by plane to come and see him before he passed, sadly seeing him in this state. He was in a lot of pain. The doctors were administering medication every 30 minutes for the pain/twitching to try to keep him comfortable until he passed. As you could imagine the family is heartbroken and it was very devastating to see him like that. Carl was an amazing positive person. It didn’t matter what life threw at him, he always had a smile on his face. No matter how sick he was, you would have never known because he didn’t show it! We will never forget you Carl, Rest in Peace. The only relief is that you are no longer suffering anymore. Until we meet again!!

Carl Passed Away with his Loving Family by his side. December 3 2024. He was only 39 years young. He will be dearly missed, especially by his girls. Please donate anything you can to help them in their suffering. They are going to need the extra help & also some Christmas presents for the girls.
