Wood Working Shop for Veterans

Donation protected
Every day about 22 US military service members takes their own life.  Let’s change that.  I want to help end that statistic and to do that I need your help to make my vision a reality.  The funds you donate will go to opening a fully functional wood work shop called Operation Spartan Flags where Veterans can come and feel useful.  I’m only asking for a $22.00 donation.  We’ll take whatever you want to donate in the name of all Veterans.  We’ll need a place (barn, business building), equipment (hand tools, saws, drills), and funding (this is where you come in).  We'll build & craft American Flags (all sizes), shadow boxes, coin racks, specialty items, and much more.  I want there to be a place where Veterans can come and feel useful building things with their own hands, BS with other Veterans (brother & sisters), and feel free to talk to others who understand Veteran issues.  We can help each other out with information, understanding, support, and maybe point each other in the right direction in life.  This will be an open and friendly place to just come to sit & talk, watch sports, and build American Flags, challenge coin racks, and shadow boxes out of reclaimed wood from barns, fences, pallets, and much more.

I have served our Country for 24+ years and I now want to help our Countries Service members get the help they desperately need.  I'm not asking for the Government’s help.  I'm asking for your help!  If not with monetary help, then please contact me with how you can help me accomplish my new mission.   Even better, tell all your Veteran friends and families who would be interested in helping me.  This is a baby step in the right direction.

The vision is to document each success on a web page, so that all can see the great things we are doing and the people we help.  Thank you all very much for considering this cause for our all of our US Veterans.  I would have launched this sooner, but I find myself deployed once again for our Freedom.

This idea was inspired by a Marine buddy of mine that ended his life and could have used my help.  Two other service buddies were very close to doing the same thing, but were strong enough to ask for help in their time of need.  Both of them have said to me, "If I only had a place to go and feel useful and wanted."  They wanted a military cool place to hang out and be one of the guys like Norm on “Cheers”, but just not a bar.
Thank you all! Semper Fi & GOD Speed!
