Service dog for our son

Donation protected
Corbin is my nine year old son. He has asperger's syndrome. He also has anxiety disorder, sensory disorder, and depression. He has struggled to make friends and keep the ones he does make. He doesn't like leaving our house because of his anxiety. He's been bullied then scolded for tattling or worse, been told to ignore the bully.

Recently, we were told about service dogs for children on the autism spectrum and anxiety. This will be beneficial to Corbin in many ways. These dogs are specially trained to help children's anxiety ease in stressful situations (particularly in public, where the lights are bright, there are loud noises, and there is a lot to decipher mentally). The trained dogs also help to calm a child who is about to have or is having an emotional meltdown. We feel that this would be a way to decrease or eliminate some of the medications he is on and teach him responsibility along with giving him something he will no doubt feel proud of.

Our hope is that we can raise the money to pay for the intensive training that a service dog needs to be placed in our home and the two week (out of town) training that WE have to do with the dog in order to have it certified as a service dog.

Please, we have done and are doing all we can for our son, but this is beyond our financial limit. Every penny counts so no matter what the results are from this, it's more than if we hadn't tried.
