October 2016 - We are a group of family and friends who have all been inspired by a very special individual. Her name is Candy. Candy has an unrivaled enthusiasm for life, goes out of her way to connect with everyone she meets and leaves a lasting impression of positivity and hope despite recent events.
Candy is an avid runner and bicyclist and while riding her bike on 09/26/16 she was hit by a car and severely injured. Surviving life threatening injuries and possible brain trauma, Candy is now well on her way to recovery and is doing so with her normal zest for life. Despite her positive attitude, dedication to recovering and bright smile, some of Candy's injuries are life changing. She was left paralyzed from the chest down.
Many have asked how they can help or contribute as anyone who has met her recognizes that they have come in contact with a unique and special individual. We have started this fund to help with Candy's medical expenses and other needs that will be revealed as she continues rehab and attacks this new challenge in life.
Candy and her family and friends thank you in advance for your generous gift and know that you send it with love and great hope for her full and speedy recovery.
Note: Candy's brother John will handle all withdrawals and disbursements until Candy is able to do this for herself.
