New business in Six Lakes!

I am from a small town in Mid-Michigan called Six Lakes. Six Lakes is just that...a natural chain of six different lakes conveniently connected by channels. The people of this small town are like one big family. Everyone knows everyone, and everyone watches out for everyone. Their hearts are huge and I am proud that it is my hometown.
During my last visit home on the 4th of July weekend, I noticed with all of the lakes, camping and the community's love for the outdoors there was no local place where you could rent a kayak, a paddle board, canoe or bike. I'd like to change that!
I want to bring a new business to the town that will promote fitness and nature. I want to contribute to the community I grew up in and evenutally I want to move back home and make it my hometown once again.
I'd like to start out with kayaks, paddle boards and bikes keeping it limited to being open the spring, summer, fall months. Eventually, I would like to add winter rental options like cross county skis and snow shoe rentals.
My goal is to raise $45,000.00 by Spring 2015
$20,000 for equipment
$14,000 for insurance/legal fees/administration fees/marketing
$6,000 for the 1st year mortgage/space rental
and the remaining $5,000.00 for unforseen expenses, which I'm sure there will be many.
If for some reason we don't raise enough to open by 2015, we'll just keep pushing for the next year. One way or another this will happen!
