Camo for Paisley

Our friends Natalie and Shawn are pregnant, and their bundle of joy is due to arrive in June. Unfortunately, this has not been an easy journey. At their anatomy scan ultrasound, they were expecting to find out the gender of their baby. Instead, they were told that the baby has five congenital heart defects and it was recommended that they terminate the pregnancy.
Natalie has a very strong faith and believes that if God chose her to have this baby, He must believe that she is strong enough for this challenge. They told the doctors in London that termination was not an option, and were referred to Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto.
After seeing the cardiologist in Toronto, there is hope! The baby, Paisley, will be born in Toronto; she will have surgery within the first 24 hours of her life, again at 6 months old, and again around 10 years old.
As you can imagine, this is extremely expensive as Natalie and Shawn will need to live in Toronto for at least a month when the baby is born, then return to Toronto for future surgeries and follow-up appointments, whilst maintaining their home in St. Thomas.
We are planning a fundraiser, being held May 30th, 2014. We are calling it "Camo for Paisley" and asking all friends and family to wear camo for the event, and on the days of Paisley's surgeries to show their support. We are hoping to share our love and support, and raise money to help offset the cost of living in Toronto and being away from work so that they can be at Paisley's side throughout her recovery.
