Help Cait battle cancer

None of us can predict our future and life can take a turn at a moment’s notice. That is what happened to our cousin Caitlin Kelly at age 31. Cait’s mother has had breast cancer twice and it was determined that she carries the BRCA1 mutation. There has been a long history of ovarian and breast cancer in her family. Cait was encouraged by her mother's doctor to also be tested for the BRCA gene. She began the process with her first mammogram only to learn that she already had invasive ductal carcinoma. After four biopsies she learned that she had a grade 3, aggressive form, of hormone dependent cancer. She bravely chose to have a bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction. During the surgery it was discovered she actually had 4 growths but her lymph nodes were negative and she was officially declared Stage 1.
We are grateful that Cait’s cancer was caught early, a life saving advantage. We also learned that Cait does carry the BRCA1 mutation and she is at high risk for ovarian cancer too. The doctors plan to treat her aggressively and she will need to start chemotherapy soon. She also needs to have her ovaries removed in the future.
Cait does not have children and there is a small window of opportunity for her to have her eggs harvested by fertility doctors but this is costly and only consultations are covered by insurance. She was referred to an organization called Fertile Hope which will help her cover $3000-5000 for medications. It would be helpful if we could help support some of the additional expenses of harvesting, freezing and storing the eggs.

Any help would ease concerns about how fertility expenses will be paid while she recovers and undergoes chemotherapy.  Any donations would he greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help!
