Thanks for your interest in COVIDCalls!
Starting on 3/16/2020 we set out to create a real-time historical archive of our COVID times. Since then we have produced 500 episodes covering every aspect of the COVID-19 pandemic, including interviews with health care workers, public health experts, social scientists, activists, artists, elected officials, journalists, and many more people concerned with life and health in this disaster.
The interviews are intense, in-depth, and interconnected--and when the digital archive is complete users will find every episode in audio, video, and searchable transcript formats--with artwork, original essays, and educational materials too. This week we will launch the COVIDCalls digital archive-in-progress, and there is still plenty of work to do in order to bring this material into public use: transcribing, correcting transcripts, creating search tools, designing educational projects, and supporting researchers who want to start using the archive immediately.
Every dollar you donate goes directly to staff and researchers who will work to make the COVIDCalls archive a useful record of these times--making sense of this disaster we live with everyday. Thanks for your support, it leans a lot!
