COL(R) Arthur L. Holmes, Jr. lost his battle to lung cancer on Thursday, August 14, 2014. COL(R) Holmes served his country for over 30 years in the United States Army and another 20 years in the Savannah & Atlanta public school systems. He has left a legacy of diligent service, exemplary leadership, and unconditional generosity for many to emulate for years to come.
The funeral service will be held at:

Viewing hours will be from 10AM-11AM. No viewing after eulogy.

Peaceful Zion Baptist Church

COL(R) Holmes' final resting place will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a date and time to be determined.
