Ciéla "CC" Parker's Memorial Fund

Donation protected

Ciéla Zhane Parker, affectionately known as “CC” entered into eternal rest on May 23, 2017 at The Medical College of Virginia Hospital from complications related to her Sickle Cell Anemia disease. She was born on January 14, 1999 in La Plata, Maryland to Tekeema Bowens-Pointer and John Parker III. She received her education at King George High School where she graduated on May 20, 2017.

At an early age, “CC” accepted Christ and joined the Union Bethel Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Donnell Howard. She served on the usher board. “CC” was also a member of the Fredericksburg Sickle Cell Association and always made sure she participated in their yearly walks and fundraisers.

While in high school she was a member of DECA and excelled in many art classes. Art was one of her passions. Her other passions included cooking, reading, writing and colleting recipes. She loved to try out new baking ideas. “CC” also loved animals, especially dogs. She had her own but still always tried to take her Aunt Wannie’s dogs to her house. “CC” also was a fan of high heels and makeup. She couldn’t wait for a chance to dress up and look glamorous. Her favorite color was blue.

“CC” leaves to cherish her memories mother and step-father Tekeema and Antwan Pointer of King George, VA; paternal grandparents John Jr. and Teresa Parker of Montross, VA; maternal grandparents Dewitt and Judy Bowens of King George, VA; five brothers, Juwan, Jabari and Trevin Parker, Taj and Cruz Pointer; six sisters, Tiara, Kyndel, Kynleigh, Zhane and Amya Parker and Jordyn Pointer; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; special family members Kiahsia McKinney, Isaiah and Zion White, La Shawn Bowman, Aunt Wannie; Godmothers Chrishida Peterson and Samantha Gray, Godfather Israel Bell; and the MCV Sickle Cell Team.

“CC” will be greatly missed. To know her was to love her. She truly loved her family and friends. One of her biggest goals was to be able to graduate from high school. God granted her that wish.

All funds raised will go towards funeral expenses and to support her family at this time. Donations will go directly to her family.

The viewing will will be held on Saturday, May 27th at Little Ark Baptist Church in King George at 9AM, followed by services at 11AM.
