Cross Cultural Project: London
Hello, my name is Tori. I am a
Junior and Kenan-Flagler Business Student at the University of North
Carolina.
Since coming to college at UNC, I
have given my life to Christ and am currently involved in a campus ministry
(Campus Outreach) through the Summit Church. Each year, we are challenged to
give up our summer plans to invest in our walk with God and share His word.
This summer I, along with a small team of 10 from UNC and NC State, have been
challenged to go overseas to London, England. Our mission is to build
relationships with college students at West London University over the course
of 6 weeks and hopefully through those relationships, share Christ's gospel.
Committing to this mission has
required me to forgo other internship opportunities that would have been very
beneficial towards my future career. However, I believe in this mission of
sharing God's word and I am confident that the personal growth I will receive
through this experience is of greater value than that which I am giving up.
I am very excited about the summer
ahead and what God has in store for me, as I get ready for this great
opportunity. I would like to ask you to please pray about joining me in
reaching the people of London by helping to send me. I am currently
responsible for raising $5500, which includes all aspects of my trip (air fair,
housing, meals and expenses). If at all possible, even a small
contribution would be greatly appreciated. However, please note that your
