CARDians Support Texas

Hello my friends. I am Oscar Caballero, the operations manager for Center for Autism and Related Disorders in San Antonio, TX. On behalf of the #CARDTEXASTRIBE
I am reaching out to ask for support from our #CARDFAMILY to help our staff and clients in need.

Hurricane Harvey hit Corpus Christi on Friday night and many of our therapists are still without power and many sustained damage to their homes. We can help get them water, food and anything else they are in need of. Jessica Seedfelt is working on a "wish list" of items with all their needs. We want to help our CARD staff and our CARD families.

In Houston, Harvey is still dumping rain with predictions that within a day or two they will have had more than 50 inches of rain, which is typically their annual total rain fall. People are being evacuated from their homes with literally small trash bags with belongings. They are losing everything. We can help secure places to stay and provide food, clothing, toiletries, food for their pets and anything else that will help.

In San Antonio, if not for a slight shift that led to what is happening now, we would likely be seeing this severe weather.  San Antonio and Austin were blessed and had rain and winds, but no severe flooding. So it is us who are reaching out asking for support for our extended families. We will be accepting donations here at SAN and coordinating efforts to assist both Corpus Christi and Houston. I will be withdrawing the raised funds so that we are able to purchase needed/requested items and/or gift cards and then get those items to our therapists and client families in CC and Houston.
