Panther Academic Success Team

PAST is run three nights per week (T-TH) and is staffed by a teacher and when possible, supported by one or two National Honor Society tutors.  This program is mandatory for any student failing two or more classes.  HOWEVER, due to the success we are finding with the students who are assigned, both parents and (believe it or not) students are requesting to request/attend the PAST sessions to improve academics, even if students are NOT failing two or more classes.  We have been overwhelmed by the enthusiasm of the program, but as a result, we are hosting 20-28 students in one computer lab, with one teacher to support the students who need help with their assignments.  We would like to decrease the number of students and divide the students up, but we will need additional resources to do so.  

In addition to the students who access PAST for increasing their achievement goals, we would like to provide enough seats to allow students to access our online SAT Prep course (free of charge).  Additional funds will allow us to support students who are under-performing, as well as those who are college bound and want to increase their National Assessment scores.

We have written a grant for the $25,000 goal we originally set and are hopeful that the Greg Jennings Foundation will help fund our proposal, but will not know until potentially the beginning of 2013.  Any pledge is greatly appreciated.  We are closing down the other goFUNDme pledge page, so if you have made a pledge there, you will not be charged.  :)
