Home for Mayan family

Donation protected
Byron and Miriam and little Ana are a young Mayan family living in the northwestern highlands of Guatemala, where poverty is a serious problem.

Three years ago Byron was being paid a salary by the LAMP Literacy Project. He was married with a baby so he began to build a house  for his little family.

When the literacy project fell on difficult financial times Byron would not agree with letting the literacy project die, so in faith he decided to continue the work even though there was no money to pay him. He became a true faith missionary living on free will offerings to feed his family.

When this happened, Byron was forced to discontinue construction on their house, and he and his little family still live in uncomfortable, cramped quarters with his mother, brothers, and adult sisters and their children.

In a couple of months rainy season will be upon them, and they are praying for a  way to put a roof, widows and doors on their cement block house  so they can move.

To Byron and Miriam, literacy for their people is more important than a comfortable place for them to live.

Let us join hands and give them their dream before the rains are upon them.
