Build a House in Peru
Donation protected
As many of you know, our Remote Year Libertatem family has spent this year traveling and working around the globe. In every city that we go to, we find ways to give back to the local communities that have welcomed us in ways that are sustainable and can be furthered after our departure. This month, we are in Lima, Peru and have been presented with the opportunity to help a family affected by the natural catastrophes, including landslides and earthquakes, that have recently affected so many in the country.
We’ll be working with Techo, a pan-American NGO, and as a group will spend a weekend building a home for a family in need.
While we’ve spent the last few weeks raising funds among ourselves, we’re still a bit short of hitting our $2000 goal to purchase all of the necessary building materials. Anything big or small is greatly appreciated. Below you can check out the house that a fellow RY group, Ikigai, built last month. We'll be sure to share photos of ours once the house is complete!
