Jamaica Missions Trip

Donation protected
Hello, friends and family!

Last year through ALC (formerly Masters Commission Atlanta), I had the amazing opportunity to serve with an orphanage in Latacunga, Ecuador. This year I will take on another journey to Whitehouse, Jamaica! Just two weeks ago, I learned that I will be a part of a team of 22 people going and serving on this trip! I know what you are thinking, "that sounds like more of a vacation than a mission's trip!" Let me tell you a little bit about the missionaries and people we will be serving.

Jim and Penie Koch have been missionaries in Whitehouse, Jamaica for over 20 years. There they founded an orphanage called "My Father's House" and have raised over 40 children there over the years. Now that Jim and Penie are older and the children have grown and moved out of the house, their sole mission is to serve their community. Alongside them our team will have the opportunity to do a wide variety of things including construction on people's homes, teaching devotionals at the local elementary schools, carry water to villages without plumbing systems, holding kids camps for homeless children and children who can't afford to go to school, taking supplies to children's homes and hospitals, ministering inside of hospitals and retirement homes, holding worship services for the local church and so much more. You can learn more about the ministry we will be working with at www.JaminJamaica.com.

I cannot tell you how excited I am to have this wonderful opportunity! However, these 10 days in February (Feb 9th-18th) will not be possible without your help. I need both prayer and financial
support to make this dream possible. The total cost of this trip is $1600. This includes airfare, supplies, housing, food, ground transportation, building materials, etc, and I have to have $350 raised by October 30th to be able to confirm my spot on this team and make necessary travel arrangements. I've already been working and saving for this trip, but of course every little bit these next few weeks helps! Just as important as the financial support, I am asking for prayer. The finances are what get me there, but prayer is what makes things happen once we are there! Whatever you are able to
commit to, whether financial or in prayer, I AM SO GRATEFUL!

Another way you can participate if not financially, is sending our team supplies. You can send lightweight toys for the kids, craft supplies, and simple medical products (Band-Aids, Neosporin, Advil,
cortisone cream, etc.). Know that whatever you can do is vital to our team!

Thank you again for taking the time to read about this incredible opportunity I've been given! Whether you are able to join me in prayer support, financial support or both: just know I am so extremely thankful and blessed to have you in my life!!

Thank you so very much,
Anisha
