Kim's Breast Cancer Fight

As you may know, I was diagnosed with breast cancer on February 23, 2015. To say the least, it rocked my world. Early on, I was given mixed information—a lesson to all in getting multiple opinions: I was originally told the cancer I had was a type that’s easily treatable and beatable. I was later told it was one of the most aggressive types and may have spread. It was incredibly difficult for me to hear continually worsening news upon each visit.
Today, I was finally given some hope: it has not spread into my lymph nodes! The cancer I have is currently in stage 2 and treatable. I will start with chemo for 5 months. After chemo is complete, I will have surgery and radiation. This will be a tough and rough road for my loved ones and I, but I’m determined to fight a good fight. There is a possibility that I can beat this and that is, most certainly, my end goal.
Do I have a great support system? YES! Leading the way is my 10 year old son. Wanting to be by my side, he's always ready with words of encouragement and gives me strength. I WANT to be here for him. I NEED to be here for him.
I am self employed and pay for my own insurance. I don't make a lot of money, so I am on a low cost, high deductible insurance and many of my medical visits will be out of pocket expenses as a result. And unfortunately, there will be times where I will not be able to work and my monthly living expenses/bills will become a burden.
We all know how hard it is to make ends meet. Worrying about how I'm going to pay for this treatment or scan, or how I'm going to pay my rent or electric bill isn't going to help my healing. My time needs to be spent fighting this, not just for myself, but for my son. So, I'm reaching out for help... any and all help is greatly appreciated and welcomed.
