Brooklyn's Hip Surgery

Brooklyn came to us from the streets of Watts, CA. Cory was working in Watts at the local skate park when he first saw Brooklyn. She was covered in fleas, ticks, and walked with a severe limp. He quickly asked around to see if she was anyone's dog and came to find out that she was a stray who frequently went to the skate park.
Cory decided to run to the store and grab some food and realized he couldn't just leave her there. He decided to bring her home to us, our dog Yogi, and our cat Buddy. We gave her a flea bath, a good meal, and a place to sleep. Unfortunately our apartment isn't big enough for all three animals and she needs space to roam - it became our goal to find her a loving home.
She wasn't spayed, microchipped, or vaccinated and we needed to find out what was going on with her hip so we took her to our local vet. When the results came back the doctor said she suffers from severe hip dysplasia and is desperately in need of hip surgery in order for her to stop being in pain. The doctors need to shave down a part of her hip and place the hip in the correct position. If you take a look at her x-ray compared to a normal dog's hip x-ray it looks as if her hip is just floating next to her back.
We are asking for the public's help to donate and help with the surgery. We want to get this incredibly well behaved girl a home and a healthy life!! As of right now Brooklyn is in a lot of pain daily, but she is such a warrior that she doesn't complain or whimper. If we don't get the surgery she will suffer from severe arthritis and pain for the rest of her life.

- Wonderful with other animals
- Rarely barks unless it's at the garbage man and that is because she wants to chase the truck
