Help Brooke Get Well

Donation protected

My friend, Brooke Taylor Killebrew, recently celebrated her first wedding anniversary.  Unfortunately, she's alone in an in-patient treatment center rather than at home with her husband and their son.  Brooke has struggled with anorexia since she was sixteen years old. Recently, things got a lot better.  She found good treatment that helped, she met Louis, and she had beautiful baby Carter.

But pregnancy and nursing taxed her body beyond what it could bear, and although she was mentally healthy, Brooke's body became unable to digest food.  She was doing very poorly and needed to be hospitalized.  She recovered, went home, and had several wonderful months with her husband and son.  They recently moved into a townhouse near family.  But Brooke has taken a turn for the worse and had to go back to the hospital.

To add insult to injury, much of Brooke's treatment "“ and some of her hospitalization "“ has not been covered by insurance.  Her family has exhausted their resources making sure that Brooke gets the care she needs, but they're in a tough spot.

I really want to help, so I'm reaching out to my friends, and the church family I share with Brooke, her mother, Gayle Taylor, and her sister's family, the Guirls.

Can you help make their new year a little brighter?  Click here to read more of Brooke's story, see pictures of Brooke, Louis, and Carter Killebrew, and find updates about how Brooke's doing. Donations, notes, and prayers gratefully accepted.
