In May of 2009 we went to Ethiopia to bring home our precious little girl Elisabeth. During our visit at the orphanage, a little boy full of smiles, giggles, and love snuck right into our hearts. We have thought about and prayed for this little boy \"Natty\" every day since. Finally last year 2011, we felt the Lord calling us to him. We stressed and worried over this calling because Natty is HIV positive. We worried how this would effect our family, and how this could break a mama and daddy\'s heart. After lots and lots of prayer, we felt the Lord tell us to \"GO and do not be afraid\". This verse comes to mind:
We received word from our agency that the orphanage where he is living, is in risk of being closed by the Ethiopian government. All children will be placed in other orphanages. There is a HUGE chance that Natty will get lost in the shuffle. We need to get him home ASAP to protect him from that, and also to begin the necessary medication he needs to save his precious little life. We call him \"Little Ray of Sunshine\". He has touched the lives of so many. I am learning everyday of more and more people who met him, and fell in love.
Our next installment is due ASAP. We must get him protected before the orphanage closure. If you feel the Lord calling you and asking you to give, please listen. Any amount is so greatly appreciated. Our family is so overwhelmed at the out pour of kindness and generosity we have already been given.
5 Do not be afraid, for I am with you;
I will bring your children from the east
and gather you from the west.
6 I will say to the north, "˜Give them up!'
and to the south, "˜Do not hold them back.'
Bring my sons from afar
and my daughters from the ends of the earth Isaiah 43:5-6
