Bring Selena Home

Donation protected
In September Alexandria Burgess & Josh Soto took their daughter to the emergency room, 30 days later they are fighting to keep their parental rights.

Let's help Alexandria and Josh in this time of need, help us reunite Selena with her parents. Due to the nature of the case, they are enduring additional medical and legal fees and deserve our help!

Your contribution will help them in their initial expenses including $1500 needed to have their daughters medical records reviewed and any other unforseen expenses. They need this now!

They also both need independant legal representation, this is never cheap. Retainer fees and expenses are unavoidable during this process. Read the story below and give a contribution now, so this week they can move forward with the tools they need and support from the community to Bring Selena Home! Thank you.

On September 11th, 2015 Alexandria Burgess & Joshua Soto took their 11 month old daughter Selena to the Emergency Room after noticing that she was exhibiting signs of leg pain. Upon examination and xrays of her legs, they were devastated to learn that Selena had hairline compression fractures on both of her legs. They were transferred to the University of Michigan's C.S. Mott's Children's Hospital and Selena's medical care was taken over by the Child Protection Team. For 5 days, Alex and Josh anxiously waited while doctors examined their daughter's injuries and waited to hear results, praying they would shed light on how their precious baby girl had sustained such injuries. After 5 days, 4 sleepless nights, two full leg casts for Selena, she was allowed to return home with her parents while they counted the days, praying for answers.

Because of the nature of the injuries, CPS was notified and began a 30 day investigation, as they are required to do in such situations. From the start, both Alex and Josh were fully cooperative with all of their requests and offered any help that they could to find out who or what may have caused these injuries to their little girl. After 30 days, and after receiving inconclusive test results and having no new leads, CPS called Alex and Josh in to review the results of their investigation. On October 16th, 2015 their entire world was turned upside down and their nightmare began. Because they still had no explanation for Selena's injuries, Josh and Alex were told that they were now suspect in abusing their daughter and Selena was placed in protective care with family at the request of CPS. A petition has now been submitted to the court by CPS requesting full termination of parental rights for both of Selena's parents.

This group has been created by friends and supporters to raise awareness of this family's struggle to find out what happened to their baby girl and bring her home, and reach out for the community's help. It is our mission to support their fight to keep their parental rights, assist them getting answers to what happened to baby Selena, and aid in reuniting her with her parents who have wrongly been accused of a crime they did not commit. These are good people who do not deserve to be subjected to this injustice or have their little girl torn away from the loving parents whom she so desperately needs. It is our every intention to do everything in our power to raise awareness of their situation and through positive action lift them up and help carry them through their time of need.

While we all pray that this will be over soon, we realize that this could be a long and grueling process for Josh and Alex to challenge and overturn this petition. But they are doing everything humanly possible (and for whatever is not, calling upon God) to fight this and uncover the truth about what happened to their daughter. But they cannot fight this fight by themselves. So we have taken it upon ourselves to join their fight and let them know....THEY ARE NOT ALONE!!!!

Please join us in our efforts to bring Selena home to her mother and father where she belongs! With the support of the community and the power of prayer, WE WILL BRING SELENA HOME!!!! ♡
