On November 15, Lily was abducted from her school bus and taken on a cross country flight from Rochester, NY to Detroit, then ending in San Diego. Thankfully she has been found and is safe. (see story here: http://13wham.com/news/local/missing-rochester-girl-mother-found-in-motel-in-san-diego)
Since it is the weekend though, the San Diego police cannot get a social worker to help her get back home to her family until Monday at the earliest.
We are looking for the funds to get her custodial mother out to San Diego ASAP, pick up her scared daughter, and bring her back herself. This will most likely entail staying at a hotel in San Diego until Monday for the police to finish their work and release her properly. Last minute tickets alone will run at least $1500 for the two of them, and the 2 hotel nights with meals will be covered with any remaining funds and monies given by family members.
The family would appreciate any and all help with these expenses, and any monies not spent will be donated to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Thank you!
