My father-in-law, Greg Reed, passed away unexpectantly on July 9th, 2017 while he and my mother- in- law, Pat, were visiting thier oldest daughter, Julie, in Washington DC.
Greg was a kind man that took pride in helping his friends and family with anything they needed. I imagine that "I don't know, call Greg" was a common phrase used by his loved ones. Engines, computers, home projects, electrics and anything that required a tool were areas in which Greg excelled. Many of Greg's fondest memories were made surrounded by a campfire with his friends and family. Although the camper was a place you're supposed to go to rest, he kept busy by helping to build decks, assemble sheds, level trailers, and mow lawns. He loved every minute of it, though, I think his favorite part was when he finally got to sit down and relax with a nice, cold beer.
Greg was the best father-in-law a guy could ask for. I loved him as though he were my own father. Grandpa Greg and Grandma Pat were amazing grandparents to my two sons, Xavier and Alex. The boys were always so excited when they learned that they'd be spending a night with Grandma Pat and Grandpa Greg. They loved watching movies, staying up late, and going out to breakfast in the morning. The boys were so happy there with them that I'd have to fight to get them to leave.
Greg did so much for all of us. At the time of Greg's death, the cause of his death was unknown. An autopsy needed to be performed to determine what happened. There are a lot of steps and a lot of cost involved to have the autopsy performed and to get Greg from Washington DC back home to Minnesota. By donating, you will help Greg's family cover a portion of the cost for the autopsy and the transportation of Greg's remains back home to his family.
