Help Ellis on his Road to Recovery!

Donation protected
Our big boy Ellis needs help. Not only does he need your help but his fur family and parents to do! Sunday night Ellis started bloating, dry heaving and panting back and forth. Immediately we called Plains Animal Hospital and brought him in for their attention.

We arrived 25 minutes after noticing the bloating and the veternarian told us if we had waited a few more minutes or were not home, Ellis would not have survived.

If you've ever met Ellis you know he is a HUGE BALL OF LOVE. He is 150 pounds of fun, love and cry-baby. He loves to play, jump, run around and earn treats and table food. He likes to whine and cry for no reason but it is absolutely adorable.

Last night at midnight we were given the ultimtium to put down $4,000 to proceed with the surgery or put Ellis down.

After an initial intake it was discovered that Ellis has Bloat, which is common in dogs with a bigger chest and smaller stomach. Around 2:00 this morning Ellis came out of surgery after having his spleen removed, causing him to be more prone to infections and illnesses moving forward. In addition Ellis' stomach was un-twisted to its natural position and secured it in place with incisions to prevent further stomach twisting or bloat.

Ellis has a long road ahead of him. At four years old and 150 pounds he now has limitations that he never had before. He has suffered enough and we want to not only be able to provide the costs of his surgery and medical visit but we want to provide a comfortable life style for Ellis when he gets home as he cannot do some of the things he used to do such as jump up into bed with us, run around in the back yard with his four fur siblings or go for runs at the park anymore.

He won't be coming back home for another few days and the expenses for the surgery, hospital stay and medical on-site expenses will total almost $8,000. Tj and I have every intention to do what we have to in order to pay for the rest of his care. The first thing we did was cancel our vacation to Mexico that we have had planned and been paying on for eight months. Ellis needs us home for recouperation but we are taking a major financial hit this month between losing the trip cost and the cost of the medical expenses.

If you can afford to help us out in any way it is extremely helpful. If you cannot afford the donation please share this link. A share is as appreciated as a dollar. Even if we get $100 from this page it is going to significantly contribute to the over all health and wellness of Ellis life.

Please consider this. Our Ellis baby wouldn't ask if he didn't need the help :(
