Hello friends! So I have decided to throw my hat in the ring and give one final shot to the pageant circuit. This is the last year I will be eligible to compete so I'm going into it with my whole heart. I planned to run last year, but as my fathers health dwindled, I felt it more important to spend time with him; the pageant can wait. So this Run for Miss California will be done in memory of my dad. He was and always will be my biggest fan, and really wanted me to do this. So I'll be walking the stage with his eyes on me from heaven. That being said, I need your help! I have to raise money for pageant fees, competition clothing, travel, and expenses. Anything helps! My goal ultimate goal is to bring Christ with me on this journey and shine my light in a place where most don't expect it to be! Wish me luck :)

Brijet Finister is a 26 year old woman from Stockton, Ca. She is a graduate of San Francisco State University, with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature. Her accolades include the titles of Miss Golden State Teen America 2004, Miss Black and Gold 2009, and Miss Black California USA 2012. She has also graced the field as a professional cheerleader for the Oakland Raiders "Raiderettes" for the 2009-2010 season, and the San Francisco 49ers "Gold Rush" for the 2014-2015 season.
Brijet is a young woman focused on community empowerment. As a District Leader for Primerica Financial Services, her goal is to bring financial literacy to her community. Eventually, she will have offices across California working to coach families into a successful financial future. Through this knowledge, the legacy of a family can be changed forever.
She also has a deep love for Christ and strives to live a life that is purpose driven. She is focused on using her experiences to touch the lives of those around her in hopes of bringing them to Christ, as well as embracing the opportunity to be a positive Christian role model for young women in this modern society.
