On January 9, 2017 a checkup discovered lesions on Brigitte’s spleen
On March 16, 2017, she was diagnosed stage 4 of Large B Cell Lymphoma.
Brigitte is battling like a warrior, through her Chemotherapy. She recently completed five of her six treatments. Currently, tests are showing she is 90% clear of Lymphoma!
We confidently look forward to her next PET scan that will confirm she is 100% free of Cancer!
WHO IS BRIGITTE
She is one of my closest of friends, for over 36 years. She is part of my family, and I call her sister.
She is a dedicated mother of 3 men, and grandma of 5 beautiful babies. She is a talented baker, artist, crafter, and volunteer of various organizations. Brigitte is quick to lend a helping hand, to anyone in need; advocates for causes; gets involved in her community; and passionately raises funds for several research organizations. Her warmth, humor, and curiosity, makes her a joy to be around.
She worked at Orchard Supply for 19 ½ years, until the store recently closed, and is currently unemployed and living on disability.
There is nothing I would not do for this lady.
So, I am reaching out to you, for help....
Brigitte is someone who doesn't hesitate to come to the aid of others in need. I know she would campaign for you. Please, get her closer to the goal, so that she can concentrate on beating this beast, called Cancer.
HOW YOU CAN HELP TODAY
This GoFundMe campaign was created to compensate the exorbitant costs of medical treatment, which is necessary in helping Brigitte get better. Up to this point the medical bills have totaled $112,000. Thankfully, her insurance (which she pays out of pocket) has alleviated a majority of that costs. However, she still is left with a remaining balance, and that total will rise with the future treatments. We are calling on the generosity of extended family, friends, and strangers to help in the following ways so that Brigitte can focus on healing:
1. Donate whatever you can. No amount is too small and every kind contribution will go to her treatment.
